• The Subaru Outback starts at $25,895. The Subaru Ascent starts at $31,995. The Subaru Outback is easier on your wallet.
• The Subaru Outback seats five. If you don't have a large family, there's no need for a vehicle with extra seating.
• The Subaru Outback has 35.5 cubic feet of cargo space with all the seats up. The Subaru Ascent has 17.8 cubic feet of space with all seats up.
• The Subaru Outback has standard roof rails with integrated crossbars. The Subaru Ascent has standard roof rails, but crossbars are optional.
