At Crews Subaru of Charleston, we are more than just a car dealership. We are passionate about giving back to the community and supporting important local causes. This August, we were proud to be involved in several exciting events around Charleston and the surrounding areas. Let's take a look back at some of the highlights from this past month.
Blood Drive on August 1st
To kick off the month, we hosted a blood drive at our dealership. Donating blood is a simple but powerful way to help others in need. We were thrilled to see so many members of the Summerville community come out to support this vital cause.
Hallie Hill Laps of Love on August 2nd
On August 2nd, we cheered on the swimmers participating in the Hallie Hill Laps of Love event. This fundraiser challenges swimmers to complete laps to raise money for the Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary. Animal welfare is an issue close to our hearts, and we loved seeing the West Ashley community rally behind this wonderful shelter.
Charleston Friends of the Library Summer Book Sale from August 7th - 9th
The Charleston Friends of the Library Summer Book Sale is always a highlight of the summer for book lovers in Hanahan and beyond. We were delighted to support this event, which took place from August 7th to 9th on Johns Island. Proceeds from the sale go towards supporting our local libraries, a cause we believe in deeply.
Hallie Hill Spay and Neuter Clinic on August 14th
On August 14th, we sponsored a Spay and Neuter Clinic at the Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary. Spaying and neutering helps control the pet population and keeps animals in our community healthy. We were proud to help pet owners in Goose Creek access these important services for their furry friends.
Surfers Healing: Surfing for Autism on August 20th
Surfers Healing is an amazing organization that helps children with autism experience the thrill of surfing. While the riptide prevented the kids from getting out on the waves this year, it was still a perfect day filled with games on the beach and quality time with the pro surfers. We were honored to support this incredible event in Mount Pleasant.
Battery Soccer Game on August 23rd
As avid sports fans, we love supporting our local teams. On August 23rd, we had a blast cheering on the Charleston Battery at their soccer game. It's always a great time catching a match and connecting with other supporters from across Charleston.
Yappy Hour on August 28th
Finally, we wrapped up the month as the presenting sponsor of Yappy Hour at James Island County Park. This event, put on by Charleston County Parks and Rec, invites people to bring their pups to the dog park to socialize during happy hour. We had so much fun meeting all of your furry friends.
