At Crews Subaru of Charleston, we're committed to being an active part of the local community and giving back however we can. This October was an especially busy month packed with events and causes that we were proud to sponsor and participate in. Located North Charleston, our team has greatly enjoyed connecting with residents from Charleston and beyond.
Library and Rotary Events
The month started off with the Charleston Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale from October 2-4th. This popular event supports our local libraries and promotes literacy in the Charleston area. Next up was the Summerville Rotary Oktoberfest on October 4th, where our team helped raise funds to support the impactful work of the Rotary Club in Summerville and beyond.
Animal Welfare Events
On October 4th, we attended the Charleston Animal Society Emerald City Gala, a fundraiser for this important local animal welfare organization. We also supported the Pet Helpers Fur Ball on October 10th, another gala that raised money for the Pet Helpers animal shelter.
October 22nd was National Make a Dog's Day, and we marked the occasion by sponsoring an educational event with the Charleston Animal Society, teaching kids about safe and caring interactions with animals. We also drew the winners of the Hank and Laurel Greer Lifesaving Raffle, which raised critical funds for the Charleston Animal Society. Supporting animal welfare is a key part of our Love Promise at Crews Subaru.
Community Support Events
We were thrilled to participate in the Join Forces Charleston Style event on October 9th. This important event supports the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, providing educational opportunities for the children of Special Operations personnel. It's a cause close to our hearts.
On October 25th, we sponsored the East Cooper Community Outreach "Big Dill" Pickleball Tournament, a fun event that raised money to help those in need in the Mount Pleasant community. We wrapped up the month by hosting a blood drive at our dealership on October 30th to help boost local blood banks.
Sports and Recreation Events
The Crews Subaru team attended two exciting Charleston Battery Soccer games on October 17th and 18th to cheer on this local sports team that we're proud to sponsor. On October 25th, we also participated in the Trick or Treat Trail with Charleston County Parks and Rec, a festive family run and Halloween event in West Ashley.
