Crews Subaru of Charleston was busy during October in sharing the Subaru Love Promise with the local community. Events ran the gamut in serving homeless pets and animal shelters in the process, galas in full support of the Subaru Love Pets campaign as well as Halloween activities.
So, here's how involved we were during last month outside Mount Pleasant.
Subaru Loves Pets
One of the more valued campaigns we play host to is the Subaru Loves Pets initiative. In doing so, we're keenly aware of the need to find forever homes for the most challenged of pets.
So, we partnered with Adams in running month-long billboard advertisements around Hanahan and Summerville raising awareness of the plight of "underdogs." These pets are characterized as being less adoptable due to age or ailments. As well, local shelters were also supported by our efforts.
In conjunction with Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary, Pet Helpers and Charleston Animal Society (CAS), we worked hard to clear the shelters of the less fortunate homeless pets. We also sponsored the Pet Helpers "Fur Ball" gala and the CAS "Mission Paws-able" event toward raising funds in support of their critical goals.
And after the tumultuous hurricane, we doubled our efforts to reach out to those pets and owners affected. We filled a Subaru Forester SUV with dog food and gave these provisions to local shelters near West Ashley.
Other Initiatives
Not only are we deeply involved in the homeless pet mission, but we've included other programs within our Subaru Love Promise portfolio. This has seen the raising of money for English as a Second Language programs at the James Island Library and sponsoring a Halloween event at Joint Base Charleston.
There was even a trick-or-treat trail set up with Charleston County Parks and Recreation. All such October events filled the local area with fun and excitement, and awareness of those individuals and pets in need near Goose Creek.
