We're more than a car dealership. And it shows through our community involvement. Right now, we're supporting the Low Country Food Bank and Live 5 News for the "Rise and Shine Summer Food Drive." We'll tell you what it's all about. And how we're helping those who need it most in Charleston, Mount Pleasant, and the surrounding cities.
Rise and Shine Summer Food Drive
The kids are out of school for the summer. And that means a few things. More fun, enjoyment, and relaxation for the kids. But it also means another thing—more money spent on groceries. So, to help remove that extra burden, we've decided to do something about it.
On June 1st, we started collecting breakfast items and accepting monetary donations to help feed students who are home for the summer. And don't have access to nutritious meals at school. There are several collection points located in Hanahan, Summerville, West Ashely or the neighboring cities. We're doing this to help those who need it most. If you want to donate to the cause, you can do so by donating:
- Cereal
- Oatmeal
- Grits
- Peanut Butter
- Breakfast/Protein Bars
- Carnation Instant Breakfast Drink
- Canned Fruit (in natural juice)
- Dried Fruit
- Fruit Roll Ups
- Monetary Donations
- Canned Goods
This event will continue through mid-August (close to when it's time to return to school.) We don't want any child to go without the nutrition they need for the summer. And we don't want anyone to stress over not having enough money for groceries. Growing kids eat a lot. But we'll do our part to make sure they don't eat you "out of house and home."
