The Subaru Forester can comfortably seat five passengers. Plus, it offers 26.9 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. When Hanahan drivers need more space, it can expand to as much as 74.2 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.
The Forester has a 6.5-inch infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ standard, while an 8.0-inch version comes on the top three trim levels. The upholstery options in the Forester include stain-resistant cloth, water-repellent StarTex® and leather, with the latter two being especially good choices for families in the West Ashley area with often-messy kids.
Exterior
The new Forester boasts a ground clearance of 8.7 inches with either 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels. The Subaru Forester has LED steering responsive headlights, and LED fog lights are standard on all but the base Forester. Raised roof rails come standard in most Forester trim levels, and the various color choices give Goose Creek shoppers room to choose a color that speaks to them.
Performance
The Subaru Forester uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine to provide Summerville drivers with up to 182 horsepower. This engine is coupled with a continuously variable automatic transmission and standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
Safety
Some of the safety features keeping you safe around Mount Pleasant in the new Subaru Forester include driver-assistance technologies like forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. The Forester also comes with adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and lane departure warning.
