Why is this such a big deal for the Midwest, and for Subaru fans? Not only will quality by locally controlled, but the boosted manufacturing of Subaru vehicles will invest heavily in Indiana's local economy, and opened up more than 1,000 jobs for residents in just the past year.
And it's not just the Impreza that will be put together with American hands--more than 380,000 Subaru vehicles per year will come off the line at this Indiana plant.
