There are big things happening for Subaru right now, from the new platform on the 2017 Impreza to subtle upgrades on the 2017 WRX.
But SUV fans in Mount Pleasant, Hanahan, West Ashley, and Summerville will be pleased to know that the Forester is keeping up with the changes too, and the 2017 model promises to be better than ever. Check out just a few of its stylish and smart new upgrades in the vehicle highlights video below.
So what's really new for the 2017 Subaru Forester?
More than you might think for a mid-cycle refresh.
- Up to 32 mpg on the highway
- Active torque vectoring available on 2017 Forester XT Touring
- New design for the front fascia, taillights, and wheels
- New style for the front bumper
- Smoother shifting from a retuned CVT
- Sharper handling thanks to revised steering ratios
- Advanced and enhanced safety features with optional EyeSight systems
But as they say: the more things change, the more they stay the same. Whatever that means.
The 2017 Forester retains both its 170-horsepower BOXER engine and 250-horsepower turbo four-cylinder, as well as standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and plenty of cargo space for all of our everyday errands and weekend adventures alike. The trim level lineup still includes the Forester 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 2.5i Touring, 2.0XT Premium, and the 2.0XT Touring.
We don't expect to see the 2017 Forester land at Crews Subaru of Charleston for a few more weeks still.
