Subaru Crosstrek

  • Seats: 5
  • L x W x H (inches): 176.8 x 71 x 63.6
  • EPA Interior Volume: 121.7 cubic feet
  • Max Cargo: 55.3 cubic feet
  • Engine(s): Standard 2.4-liter BOXER® (152 horsepower, 145 pound-feet of torque) with 6-speed manual or CVT | Available (2021 model year) 2.5-liter BOXER® (182 horsepower, 176 pound-feet of torque) with CVT.

Crosstrek is a "subcompact" crossover and the smallest SUV in Subaru's lineup. It's a well-rounded crossover with flexible cargo/passenger configurations that can be easily modified on the go. It's pretty roomy for its size and offers an array of standard and available amenities to enhance the experience. The 2021 model year brings a new engine option, and all CVT-equipped Crosstrek's come standard with EyeSight® driver-assistance technologies. A 6.5-inch touchscreen is standard, and an 8-inch touchscreen is available on Premium and standard on Touring. Crosstrek is an excellent option for West Ashley drivers seeking Subaru versatility in a convenient and nimble package.

Subaru Forester

  • Seats: 5
  • L x W x H (inches): 182.1 x 71.5 x 68.1
  • EPA Interior Volume: 140.8 cubic feet
  • Max Cargo: 70.9 cubic feet
  • Powertrain(s): Standard 2.5-liter BOXER® (182 horsepower, 176 pound-feet of torque) with CVT

Forester is a compact crossover that draws many comparisons to its slightly larger sibling (but lower), Outback. Forester has a spacious interior that prioritizes passenger space while maintaining significant cargo capacity as well. It has a more robust base engine than Crosstrek's, and with a standard CVT, EyeSight® driver aids are included as well. A 6.5-inch touchscreen is standard on base, Premium, and Sport, and an 8-inch touchscreen is available on Sport and standard on Limited and Touring.

Subaru Outback

  • Seats: 5
  • L x W x H (inches): 191.3 x 73 x 66.4
  • EPA Interior Volume: 141.5 cubic feet
  • Max Cargo: 75.7 cubic feet
  • Powertrain(s): Standard 2.5-liter BOXER® (182 horsepower, 176 pound-feet of torque) with CVT| Available turbocharged 2.4-liter BOXER® (260 horsepower, 277 pound-feet of torque) with CVT

The Outback is a unique model. Though classified as a mid-size crossover, it still holds on to the wagonesque aesthetic of its predecessors. It's often compared to its slightly smaller sibling, Forester. Outback is longer and wider than Forester, but not quite as tall. Outback has more cargo capacity and very slightly less passenger space than Forester.

Additionally, Outback offers the option of a turbocharged engine with significantly more power. A longer wheelbase may give Outback the edge for ride "smoothness." Fully redesigned in 2020, Outback is well equipped across its trims. A 7-inch touchscreen is standard on base models. All other trims come with a standard 11.6-inch touchscreen.

Subaru Ascent

  • Seats: 8 (7 with second-row captain's chairs)
  • L x W x H (inches): 196.8 x 76 x 71.6
  • EPA Interior Volume: 167.6 cubic feet
  • Max Cargo: 86 cubic feet
  • Powertrain(s): Standard turbocharged 2.4-liter BOXER® (260 horsepower, 277 pound-feet of torque) with CVT

As the largest model in Subaru's history, Ascent provides three rows of seats so that larger Mount Pleasant and Goose Creek families can still enjoy and benefit from the Subaru experience. Ascent is accommodating and versatile with immense cargo capacity. And it leads its class for off-road capability by a wide margin. It's also very well equipped, with standard amenities that include tri-zone automatic climate control, 18-inch alloy wheels, steering-adaptive LED headlights, and X-MODE traction control. EyeSight® advanced safety features and driver aids come standard on every model. The base trim features a 6.5-inch touchscreen, and all other trims include an 8-inch touchscreen.
