Your Subaru End-of-Lease Options at Crews Subaru
If you're currently leasing a new Subaru in North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Hanahan, Summerville, or West Ashley--or if you're about to jump into a new lease for the first time--you'll want to be sure that you know the full range of possibilities when it comes time for your lease to end.
The lease return center at Crews Subaru of Charleston can answer any questions you may have--but we encourage you to read through this page first. We've provided a brief overview of your three main end-of-lease options. If you hit the end and still aren't sure what to do, please contact our financing team.
#1: LEASE AGAIN
This is one of the most popular options among Charleston drivers; it's fast, easy, and gets you into the latest iteration of your favorite Subaru. And, since we can roll any remaining fees or payments into your next lease term, you might not even notice your monthly payments change at all. Upgrade to a bigger model or higher trim level, or downsize to a city-friendly compact--we've got the options for you if you choose to lease again.
To help make your decision, check out current Subaru lease deals to see if there's an offer tempting enough to get you into another brand-new car or SUV.
#2: BUY YOUR SUBARU
If the Subaru Impreza, Forester, Outback, or WRX that you've been driving has simply stolen your heart, it may be difficult to let it go--good news, you don't have to. Every lease comes with a built-in buy-out price (the vehicle's MSRP minus the total amount of payments that you've made throughout the lease term) that is pre-agreed upon when you sign the paperwork. This means that the price won't change, even if you take excellent care of the vehicle or if you put it through the wringer.
To help decide if this is a good idea for you, take a look at your vehicle's buy-out price and compare it to the vehicle's expected market value.
An extra bit of good news? If you do decide to purchase your Subaru, but think you may change your mind within a few years, you'll be covered with guaranteed trade-in values until the vehicle is six to seven years of age, thanks to Subaru's innovative new program.
#3: WALK AWAY
If you just can't decide whether leasing or buying is better for you, there is good news: you don't need to decide day-of. While it's easier to kick into a new lease or set up a loan when you turn in your lease vehicle--and you could potentially save some money by rolling your payments into a new term--your final lease-end option is to do nothing.
All we'll need from you is a final check-in to return the vehicle, check for any outstanding tickets or payments, inspect for unusual or excess wear and tear, and collect any fees or payments for mileage, damage, etc. Once you've settled up and signed any necessary paperwork, you're free to walk. The team at Crews Subaru of Charleston will still be here whenever you're ready for your next vehicle!
